Excited over the closing days to the Month of August, I must confess such glee.
For once, my mind is filled with things to do focused on just one thing – The Speed Training.
No doubt, I have a goodly-built endurance. I have already done 2 Full Marathons as part of an endurance training. I have already done Trail Runs. My countless LSDs contributed a lot to my stamina now. Off I go now to what Im excited about.
Of course, like any other runner, my training will still include the usual cycle. Long Runs, Building Mileage, and Speed Training = Race Events.
So far, for the month of August, I start the training with a good build-up LSD. An Ultra RUN, LSD pace!
08.02.09 56KMS Km 0 to Tagaytay
08.05.09 12KMS Recovery Short Easy Run (Subject to the condition of the feet, leg and muscle. I listen to advise too.
)
08.07.09 15KMS Easy Tempo Run
08.09.09 08KMS Speed Training (Oval)
A taste of what’s to come…sweet and blissful!

Nice schedule Master Mar. I really do admire your discipline and how you are able to stay focused in achieving your goal. =)

Coach ingat sa Manila-Tagaytay route…it’s a real knee-breaker because of the 56.6K worth of uphills. You may want to reconsider your recovery run 3 days later hehe. Abangan ka na lang namin sa Tagaytay (CLP?)
incredible training for you, poj!
good luck!
Nice sked coach! You will definitely achieve what you are aiming for. Just the discipline in doing the runs is a feat already.
Thanks very much again for pacing us last Sunday.
Awesome coach… as much as I want to join you, mayroon pa rin akong phobia sa distance na 50K.. ang tagal ng recovery kasi!
great schedule, pojie! kakainggit! wala ka bang LSD na mejo even number of flat, uphill and downhill? like a Silang to Tagaytay to Sta Rosa Part 2? would love to join that. my training program requires a 32k LSD. Problema ko kung saan ko gagawin yun. I have an 18-20k training route. Doing 2 loops on it alone might bore me to death.
Btw, thanks for the pace last Sunday. Prevented me from getting sucked into the faster runners’ pace in the warm up kms. Sumabay na ako kay Mhel after 5k nung maramdaman kong comfortable pa rin sa akin yung pace nya. I was surprised i was able to maintain it for the whole distance. I think the starting pace was the key.
go coach!
