My Start
1st week of January. :)
The start of everything:
- training
- weight management
- planning for the year
- etc
For a starter - my waist line is bigger now. 32.5 inches from the usual 31. I also gained weight. 64 kgs from my average of 60, high of 74. Thanks to the unlimited meals of December! LOLS
January 6 will mark the start of my regimens.
2012 in review
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 19,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 4 Film Festivals
The Year that Was
Today, the 27th of December marks the last 4 days of the present year.
It’s always nice to look back and reminisce about the best of the things this year has offered.
January 2012 – I bagged one of the hardest buckle to get.
February is a slack.
March 2012 – I finished the 2nd Tanay 50K Ultramarathon. One of the hardest short ultras. (for me).
April 2012 – I finished the 2nd Mayon 360 50-miles. One of the hottest and rainiest event of the year. (for me).
May to July is a slack. Lots of peak-bagging, though.
August 2012 – I finished the 2nd Fort Magsaysay to Dingalan Aurora 60K Ultramarathon. One of the hardest road ultras too. (for me).
September to October is a slack. Lots of cross-fits though.
November 2012 – I finished my 1st CM50 60K category. One of the toughest trail ultramarathon. (for me).
December 2012 – all slack.
Crossfits and meals! Hahahaha. Very few short runs.
My DAILYMILE got some stats.
In Other News #28
Reblogged from More than just a FOREFOOT jogger:
Reza Baluchi is one of the many runners who can inspire anyone.
I think he is the only runner who has done more in terms of mileage and distance and nobility of the adventure.
Find his story here.
While we have our own Father Picx - who has done Davao to Aparri, and Mac Milan - who has just recently completed Davao to Manila, Reza Baluchi has more than thaat.
Once Upon a Time
Suddenly, I missed a lot.
Those LSDs we call.
Those fun runs where we don't have to pay for anything other than what we want to eat after.
Those fun guys with passion equal to mine: PEAK HERE.
The nicest places we've been to.
The best meals and laughters after. :)
I used to push...
...push people to running.
I used to lead a pace.
Advice for the Young and the New
I am specifically sharing this post to the young (not necessarily the age) and the new ones (not necessarily very new to running).
If you have already done a marathon, and is contemplating on going to the ultras - this is for you.
It wouldn't matter if you are left or right handed. Running is all about moving forward. :)
NIKE We Run MNL 2012
It was a week after my hard-trail ultramarathon.
I am not confident of a particular finish time for this 10K.
I rested the entire weekdays for this 1 weekend event.
I'm glad however, for what turned-out to be a very good run.
:)
I was thankful to God for my being on time for the gunstart. I thought. :)
I was about 5 minutes early for the 5:30am gunstart.

Way of Life
Today is the 4th day since the CM50 Clark-Miyamit 60K Trail Ultramarathon. Since Sunday night's feast (gorging on whatever I like) up to this day, I have not done anything to follow my usual routine. Work-Run-Eat-Sleep-Eat-Errands-Run-Eat-Work. Surprisingly, I did not gain (as expected) nor lose any weight after this event. Maybe because of the yummy Peanut Butter and Nutella? LOLS…
Simply Perfect
Well, almost!
Words the RD gave to everybody. Prior to gunstart. And it seemed to have greatly affected me. It played like a chant in my mind - all throughout the race. I never knew how the race will be. The only thing I am sure of is that I will finish the course - no matter what.
01:30am - off we go.
