Trust in God

Ordinary Ways

We all have issues. Everybody faces different kinds of problems. Varied trials tests even the toughest. We are on equal footing when it comes to this. The big difference lies on who we put our trust to when trials come, and when we are faced with a very big problem.

Psalm 62:8 International Standard Version
People, in every situation put your trust in God; pour out your heart before him; for God is a refuge for us.

God is a refuge for us. A refuge is something that provides shelter. A protected place. No need to explain further since we already understood this.  No matter what we believe, God is the same. No matter our situation, He is our refuge. But God is more than just a refuge.

Difficult is Relative

Ordinary Ways

This is a very informal writing. 🙂

Yes, difficult is very relative.

For a new runner, even a 3-km run is already too hard – difficult. However, to some new ones, the same distance could be easy – in terms of distance and pacing.

For a new climber, (here we go!) a minor climb can be very difficult. Again, difficult is very relative. The difficulty may be due to the long distance, or the technicality of the trail, or the terrain, the elevation to the summit, or a little of all.

On Lacking Nothing.

Oh yes! I am a Christian!

Ordinary Ways

Nobody, I’m sure, would want to be lacking anything. Nobody would want to be needing something and have such need remain unmet. Paraphrasing further, I’m sure without a tinge of doubt, that nobody would want to be constantly begging for something.

See the following scriptures:

James 1:5
New International Version
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

New Living Translation
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it…
