Ultramarathoning: 2nd PAU 65 Km @ P2P

You should be hearing it too. I can hear mine. And that of others.

It’s not a jitter. Not as defined here.

It’s not a worry. Worry is defined as thoughts and images of a negative nature in which mental attempts are made to avoid anticipated potential threats. I’m sure of what I will do and I know exactly what I will be doing. On a positive note, I am always.

It isn’t also excitement

Definitely, it’s not a doubt of some sort. It’s not something negative. It’s very positive. It’s nice.

It’s a good feeling of something. It’s nice to feel.

It’s passion. As defined here.

It’s the passion for the sport.
It’s the passion for the long run.
It’s the passion for great camaraderie.
It’s the passion for positive pain. (Oh Yeah, it is!)
It’s the passion for conquering the distance.
It’s the passion for self-mastery.

Yes. It’s the passion for ultrarunning. With running here, we mean that we are not racing against anybody else but ourselves. We beat our own personal best. Our own personal records. We beat the clock by beating our own personal struggles. We carry on in whatever situation. We manage until we have succeeded. We endure the pain. We master the weather. We just wont quit. DNF is an alien term we will not define. We support and we draw strength from each other.

We are ultrarunners. I know. Because I am.

My Race Bib

The ROUTE includes the following:

Where we shall START
The Next Municipality

At Kilometer 20++ of Burgos, Ilocos Norte

Cape Bojeador aka Burgos Lighthouse

Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, also known as Burgos Lighthouse, is a cultural heritage structure in Burgos established during the Spanish Colonial times.

At Kilometer 30++ of Burgos, Ilocos Norte

Kapurpurawan Rock Formation

Kapurpurawan Rocks are rock formations created by forces of the ocean on the rocky coast of Burgos, located just a few minutes further from the lighthouse.

The 3rd Municipality

At Kilometer 44++ of Bangui, Ilocos Norte

The Bangui Windmill Project

The first power generating windmill farm in the country is found in the municipality of Bangui.

The 4th and the Last Town of the Run

Pagudpud is a coastal resort town on the northernmost tip of Luzon in the Philippines. It is bounded to the south by the town of Bangui and to the east by the Cordillera Mountain Range, the town of Adams and the province of Cagayan.

The Finish Line

Saud White Beach west of Maira-ira Cove

P2P means Pasuquin to Pagudpud. It also means fun and lots of laughter along the road.

I wonder if we missed anything along the route of this run. Hmmm.
