Last run of the Pegasus…

Bought in November of 2008, and first used at the Men’sHealth Urbathathlon of 2008, this shoe has taken me to a lot of amazing ride.

Allow me to list down some good races with it.

#01 Botak Paa-Bilisan. May 10, 2009. Marathon distance. Done in 6 hours 30 minutes ++.
#02 Milo Marathon Manila Eliminations. July 5, 2009. Missed the 5-hour cut-off by barely 20 minutes.
#03 1st QCIM. October 18, 2009. Marathon distance. Done in 6 hours 31 minutes.
#04 Subic International Marathon. October 24, 2009. Marathon distance. Done is 7 hours 36 minutes. Tagged as the worst marathon of that year.
#05 2nd Bataan Death March 102 Kms Ultramarathon. March 6 to 7, 2010. Finished strong “in the air” to beat the 18-hour cut-off time. Done in 17 hours 54 minutes.
#06 1st PAU Run in Tanay, Rizal. 50K ultramarathon. May 9, 2010. Another strong finish on that hilly route. Done in 7 hours 47 minutes.
#07 4th PAU Run Tagaytay to Nasugbu (T2N) 50K ultramarathon. November 14, 2010. Done in 7 hours 38 minutes.
#08 Nuvali Trail Challenge. 57K. June 18, 2011. Done in 9 hours 45 minutes.

What’s with the highlightings?

It shows you how long I have been using it, not to mention the training runs, and for how long I was wearing the shoes. I don’t change, you know. I rarely do that. With the Pegasus +25 Bowerman Series, I am confident to start and finish any race with it. Intact.

Until the Nuvali Trail Challenge. Where the rubber soles really gave out to the harsh stony trail. While I like the ride when I roll with on any downhill, the rough stony edges really killed the shoes.

Hence, for the 2nd time, I am finally retiring this great shoes. I hope to find one anywhere. I will surely buy the same good pair. It’s the best I’ve ever had – and I want a repeat of performance with it.

Who can beat it? Who has got a better shoes?

Total mileage on date of last run and retirement: 2,336 kms.

I hope NIKE will see this and give me a new one! 🙂 I really hope so!
